The Condo form of home ownership comes with challenges, not the least of which involves coordinating the unit owner’s coverage and that of the Association’s coverage. The split ownership of the building offers challenges with two potential insurance contracts responding. When the Association purchases their own insurance with a large deductible, they think they can just pass the deductible responsibility onto the unit owner. Wish it was that simple.
