Summary
Data security is a complex, extensive, and constantly changing topic. But - in order to keep data secure, we first must have an understanding of and a proactive approach to data privacy. Regardless of agency size, individual roles within the organization, jurisdiction, or other factors, data privacy is the first step and an essential one. During this session, we’ll focus on governing the privacy of your data, as well as the “so what” of data privacy for your agency and client interactions. After participating in this course, you will be able to: • Demonstrate increased understanding of the risk and opportunity created by data and data privacy. • Integrate data privacy considerations into your daily activities with an understanding of the regulatory environment. • Understand the need for data privacy and your role in ensuring effective risk management of data.
