The Nuts & Bolts of Work Comp & Employers Liability Insurance (Richmond) 10/16/2019Wednesday, October 16, 2019 (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) (EDT)DescriptionPlease disregard the membership login button below. An employee is at work when he is confronted by an assailant, who shoots him. The man is fortunate to survive, but perplexed (and financially put out) when his Worker's Compensation claim is denied. Why was it denied? Virginia law requires most businesses to buy Worker's Compensation Insurance. Because of this, many agents overlook the importance of being able to explain the coverage in simple terms. Likewise, lacking comprehension of Worker's Compensation coverages prevents the agent from being able to explain to the employer why claims like the aforementioned claim are not covered. This course will help you to understand the Virginia Worker's Compensation Law and Worker's Compensation Policies and to help you provide the coverages your clients need. We will also look into claim scenarios and discuss why (or why not) claims are (or are not) covered. Course #217405 | 7 P&C | Instructor: Carlton Gill
