Personal Lines Week - ACSR Mod 4: Agency E&O (Rich/Webinar) 10/23/2020 POSTPONED 12/21/2020 & 12/22/2020

Monday, December 21, 2020 9:00 AM - Tuesday, December 22, 2020 12:00 PM (EST)

Description

In this four-part course, we will discuss in detail how to minimize E&O claims in the daily operation of an insurance agency.  Starting with agency E&O basics, we’ll also cover how to transfer E&O risk, agency law, federal regulations, state regulations and the Unfair Trade Practices Act.  We’ll also discuss how to handle new business, existing business and servicing existing business. We’ll give additional focus to specific topics including proposals, delivering the new policy, keeping the policy current, certificates of insurance, cancellations and non- renewals, agency relationships, duties owed and surplus lines.

Success tip:
Get the book prior to the class, read through it, make notes, and jot down questions. This will enable you to use your time in class as a review and ask questions of the instructor, giving you additional preparation time and a better understanding of the content. Just select “Book Shipping” on the registration form and we’ll take care of the rest!

IMPORTANT
COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Please be aware that we are implementing new precautions in our classrooms!

While we are excited to have guests back in our classroom, safety is our priority over all else.  We have carefully and thoughtfully created procedures to increase the safety of our course attendees, instructors, and the IIAV team.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will adapt when and where it is necessary to do so. We are also offering a virtual hybrid option in the event that you are not comfortable or it is not convenient for you to participate in person.

  • BRING A MASK. Per Governor Northam’s mandate, masks are required to be worn by all in our building when in common spaces. This includes, but is not limited to classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Please enter through the learning center entrance, which is located to the right of the building. The main entrance will be locked.
  • The kitchen will remain closed. If you’d like to bring coffee, a snack, or your lunch, please be aware that the refrigerator and kitchen appliances will not be available for use. We will provide chilled bottled water at the start of class and will replenish as necessary.
  • If you bring food, please ensure that it is pre-packaged, and please do not share it with other attendees.
  • There will be a one-person limit in all restrooms.
  • We will provide individual sign-in/out sheets for all attendees.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available and stationed throughout the learning center.
  • We have implemented socially-distanced classroom seating as well as ample distance between attendees and instructors.
  • We will conduct daily sanitization of furniture and frequently-touched surfaces.

As always, we promise to walk with you through this.  Thank you for choosing IIAV to be part of your learning journey and we look forward to having you with us soon.
